Robert was a banker in New York and Chicago, with an MBA in finance, before he left the corporate world and moved to Carrboro with his wife, Bethaney Dale, in 1994 to work with nonprofits. He joined the board of Orange Community Housing Corporation in 1996 and became executive director in December 1997. He managed the organizational transition to a community land trust in 2000-2001. Lori moved to NC in 2010 with her family, after living in the Midwest most of her life. Lori has worked in non-profit accounting for 15 years supporting great organizations. Lori manages the financial reporting, forecasting, subsidy allocations and accounting functions of CHT. In 2012, Lori became an Accredited Financial Counselor and now works with our homeowners, applicants and community members to help improve their financial situations, as well as better prepare them for the financial responsibilities of homeownership. Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant
Andrea joined Community Home Trust in August 2015. She is a new resident to North Carolina, having moved from her native Southwest Louisiana (Cajun Country!) in June of 2015. Andrea brings 10 years bookkeeping and administrative experience ranging from locally owned small businesses to the largest health system in Louisiana. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband and new daughter, cooking good food, and traveling. Andrea aspires to one day become an international beer judge.
Homeownership Program Manager
Deanna joined the Community Home Trust team in October 2011. In 2007, she left Duke Hospital and entered the world of affordable housing based in Chapel Hill. Prior to working at Duke, Deanna worked for Durham Public Schools managing a multi-million dollar budget. Deanna is also a certified housing counselor and has counseled clients nationwide. Away from the office, Deanna spends time with her husband, her four children, friends, and family. She enjoys cooking, event planning, and mentoring young people. Julia joined Community Home Trust in July of 2014 as a Realtor ®. Julia and her family recently moved to the Chapel Hill area after spending 17 years globetrotting. Her last international stop was in Mexico, where she lived for six years. She served as coordinator for a girl’s orphanage and volunteered with her children’s school. She now calls Chapel Hill home with her husband, three kids, and two dogs. In her free time, Julia either can be found taking a long run or at one of her kid’s soccer events. Julia is a fluent Spanish speaker and is able to assist the Spanish speaking population to understand and use our program. Amy was pleased to join the Community Home Trust team in July of 2015. She is originally from Smithfield, NC but is now happy to call Chapel Hill home. Amy graduated from ECU in 2009 with a degree in Business Administration/Marketing, and then obtained her real estate license in 2010. She worked as a Realtor® in Johnston County for five years before relocating to Orange County. She loves spending time with her husband, Shane, and playing Frisbee with their dog, Bailey. Ian started at Community Home Trust in August of 2014 after working in the residential energy efficiency and green building industry. To complement his masters degree in ‘Sustainability and Environmental Management’, he currently is pursuing a certificate in Non-Profit Management. With perfect A+ blood, Ian regularly donates platelets at the American Red Cross. Jim Eichel joined the Home Trust Property Management team on August 6th as Construction Manager. He earned a BS in Civil Engineering from South Dakota State University and a MS in Business Administration from Boston University. Jim previously worked in the US Army Corp of Engineers.
