The Home Trust made the front page of the Chapel Hill News with
our Executive Director's pleas to local governments to ensure the provision
of afforable housing in our communities. The article was written by Lisa
Hoppenjans, staff writer for the Chapel Hill News.
The Carrboro Citizen also featured a story this April by Susan
Dickson on the Home Trust's apppeal for funds to ensure permanent affiordability
of Home Trust homes.
On April 27, 2007, The Herald-Sun featured board member Mike
Hansen in an article by Rob Shapard titled "Land Trusts Talk About Affordable
Homes." Mike spoke about his positive homeownership experience in Chapel
Hill's Larkspur subdivision and how the Home Trust offered him and his
family an opportunity to own a home in Chapel Hill.
