Home News

Congratulations to our newest CHT family who closed on their CHT home today! Two more families are under contract and expected to close in the coming weeks.

An incredible seven CHT homes are currently available and being matched with approved buyers, with four additional homes coming soon.

Dozens more permanently affordable homes will become available through our program in the coming months, including the first condominiums at South Creek. Our team recently toured the property and received floor plans for the CHT units (pictured). We’re excited to see these new homes take shape and look forward to welcoming future homeowners to South Creek.

CHT in the Community

It’s been a busy season for Community Home Trust!

Last month, CHT Vice President of Strategy and Operations joined the Carrbororean Radio Hour to discuss affordable homeownership and CHT’s work with the Orange County Affordable Housing Coalition.

We were also thrilled to be recognized by the North Carolina Center for Nonprofits as part of their celebration of National Nonprofit Day on August 17, and to be named a Chamber Champion by the Chamber for a Greater Chapel Hill-Carrboro.

Looking ahead, CHT President and CEO Kimberly Sanchez will join the Chatham County Board of Commissioners later this month for a retreat focused on the future of housing investment in Chatham County.

And there’s still time to join us for our Neighborhood Tour on Saturday, September 19! Seats are available to learn more about CHT’s programs, explore our work, and see some of our homes for yourself.
