On The Homefront
In recent weeks, our team has helped two more homebuyers successfully close on their new CHT homes. Congratulations to the families as they begin this exciting new chapter, we’re honored to be part of their journey!
Three more CHT homes are being prepared for resale and will be available to approved buyers in our home buying program in the next few weeks.
Construction has begun on the first phase of South Creek by Beechwood Carolinas. Once completed, CHT will welcome 80-100 new homes into our permanently affordable housing portfolio.

CHT In The Community

Executive Director Kimberly Sanchez will participate in a special awards panel at the 2025 NC Affordable Housing Conference on September 30, where she’ll also accept the Innovation in Housing Award on behalf of CHT for our Open Air Camp Road Affordable Homes project.
In August, Kimberly and VP of Strategy and Operations, Daniele Berman, joined neighbors at National Night Out, and CHT staff connected with Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools staff to share housing opportunities during back-to-school events.

Upcoming Opportunities
Home Maintenance Class
Learn more Join CHT and the Home Repair Lab for this 2.5-hour class. Learn how your home operates, how to interact with service providers, and how to be your own advocate for repairs and maintenance. For CHT homeowners, we will review the Stewardship program. Class is open to the public. Next class: November 11. Register here.
Neighborhood Tour:
Learn more about the communities where CHT residents live and see some examples of our homes for yourself. The neighborhood tour lasts approximately two hours and starts with coffee and conversation at our office. Space is limited and registration is required. Next tour: December 11, 2:00-4:30 pm.
