Breaking Ground, Building Community
We recently celebrated the groundbreaking of Homestead Gardensalongside partners, elected officials, and community members.
Years in the making, this collaborative effort between Community Home Trust, Self-Help Ventures Fund, CASA, Habitat for Humanity of Orange County, and the Town of Chapel Hill will bring 87 permanently affordable homes to the community.
Designed for the people who make Chapel Hill thrive, Homestead Gardens will offer a mix of apartments and townhomes with both rental and homeownership opportunities. With shared spaces like trails, a playground, and a community room, the neighborhood is built to foster connection and belonging.
We’re grateful to everyone who helped make this vision a reality, and excited to see this vibrant, welcoming community take root. Read more about Homestead Gardens here.
