I’m delighted to invite you to join us for Community Home Trust’s 2026 Foundation of Home Awards on Thursday, October 8, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at the North Carolina Botanical Gardens in Chapel Hill.

This year’s celebration is especially meaningful as we mark two important milestones: 300 permanently affordable homes created and preserved in our community, and 35 years of working alongside the Orange County community to ensure that more people can access—and keep—a home of their own.

The Foundation of Home Awards is one of my favorite opportunities each year to pause and celebrate the people, partnerships, and community commitment that make this progress possible. We’ll honor this year’s Community Impact Award recipients, including the Building Better Futures Award, the Deanna Carson Memorial Good Neighbor Award, and the Exceptional Innovation Award.

We’ll also share stories of success from the past year and look ahead to the work still to come. Reaching 300 permanently affordable homes is an extraordinary accomplishment, but it is also a reminder of what we can achieve when homeowners, community partners, supporters, advocates, and friends come together around a shared belief that everyone deserves a place to call home.

After 35 years of serving the Orange County community, we have so much to celebrate, and even more to look forward to. I hope you’ll join us for an evening filled with inspiring stories, meaningful connections, and gratitude for all that our community has accomplished together.
