Free Home Maintenance Class

Our popular Home Maintenance Class, offered regularly for CHT homeowners, is now open to the public! Join us on February 11 at the Chamber for a Greater Chapel Hill-Carrboro from 6 to 8:30 p.m. for this informative, collaborative session with the Home Repair Lab and our Property Manager, Ian Morse. We’re Hiring

The Finance Manager is a member of the executive leadership team reporting to the Executive Director with overall responsibility for the financial strategy of the organization. Working as a collaborative leader, the Finance Manager helps manage expected organizational growth and reports on all fiscal and fiduciary affairs of the organization. The Finance Manager will report to investors, lenders, grantors, and government agencies; oversee cash and investment management; budgeting and forecasting; and manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department.

In addition, the Finance Manager develops and implements the organization’s business plan in alignment with its strategic goals. The Finance Manager ensures the organization’s mission and core values are reflected in its workplace, service delivery and external partnerships.

Upcoming Opportunities

Home Maintenance Class:

Join CHT and the Home Repair Lab for this 2.5-hour class. We will help you understand how your home operates, give you knowledge to interact with service providers, and help you learn to be your own advocate for repairs and maintenance. For CHT homeowners, we will review the Stewardship program benefits and limitations. CHT homeowners receive a $5 per month discount on monthly Stewardship dues (1 discount per household). Next class: February 11, 6-8:30 p.m. Register here.

Neighborhood Tour:

Learn more about the communities where CHT residents live and see some examples of our homes for yourself. The neighborhood tour lasts approximately two hours and starts with coffee and conversation at our office. Space on the bus is limited and registration is required. Next tour: March 19, 9-11:30 a.m. Register here.
