New on the Blog: Crawlspace Updates

That might not sound like the most exciting subject — but when you’re a homeowner who benefits from the partnership between your HOA, the Town of Chapel Hill, and CHT to improve your quality of life and the health of your home, it’s a big deal! Learn more on the blog.

In the News: From Board Member Jim Parrott

CHT Board member Jim Parrott is a non-resident fellow at the Urban Institute and co-owner of Parrott Ryan Advisors. Along with Mark Zandi, chief economist of Moody’s Analytics, he recently published an opinion article for CNN about how to solve the nation’s affordable housing crisis.

Support a Bond for Affordable Housing

The Orange County Affordable Housing Coalition, of which CHT is a member, is circulating a petition for Chapel Hill Town Council to put an affordable housing bond on this year’s ballot. We’re so grateful for the ongoing work the Town does in affordable housing!

Longleaf Trace

We are partnering with Taft Mills Group on the proposed Longleaf Trace development, located at 1708 Legion Road in Chapel Hill.

As envisioned, Longleaf Trace will provide 48 1- and 2-bedroom rental units. All of the units will be age restricted for seniors and affordable to households at or below 60% of Orange County AMI (Area Median Income). The development will include a clubhouse with a community room, kitchenette, fitness room, reading areas, and a computer center.
