Keepin’ It 100!
WHAT A PARTY! Over 100 people joined us for “Keepin’ It 100: a Party for Housing” this past Saturday at the Jackson Center. In addition to dancing, eating hot dogs, having their faces painted, and mingling with neighbors and friends, attendees had the opportunity to learn about and advocate for 100 new affordable homes being proposed for Trinity Court and Jay Street. Check out some highlights from the day:
Here are some quotes attendees shared:
- My family and I are excited about new neighbors moving into our community, joining our neighborhood and our school, because…”our world needs to be less divided, less segregated. Our children will grow up with more understanding and empathy of our rich diverse community.”
- I am eager to welcome individuals and families to 100 new affordable homes in my community because…”Chapel Hill will be stronger, healthier, a better place where everyone can afford to live and work.”
