We have been participating in extensive training to make sure our staff and internal systems are ready for our amazing community to grow. Read more on the blog about our recent Value Stream Mapping exercise.

Ice Cream!

Every year, the Tenant Advocacy Committee (TAC) at the Landings apartments and CHT invite all our neighbors to an ice cream social at the Landings gazebo. This year, 85 people joined us for free Mapleview Farms ice cream — including the police department and fire department, too! It was a delicious gathering of neighbors and friends, and we thank our friends from the fire and police departments for joining us!

CHT in the Community

Wondering where to find your friends from CHT this week? We’ll have a table at the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools Housing and Finance Info Fair on Thursday, August 22, and we’ll be at at El Centro Hispano’s Latino Festival on August 25. Stop by and say hi!

Longleaf Trace Update

We learned this week that our proposed Longleaf Trace development, which will contain 48 rental units for lower-income renters aged 55+ built by our developer partner Taft Mills Group, received a Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) award. This is great news, as this means we have secured the funding we need to move forward with the project! You can learn more about LIHTC funding in this letter from Kimberly this past spring.
