Welcome, Bruno!

We’ve added another new member to our staff team!

Last week, Bruno Marcenaro started in his new role as our Real Estate Sales and Transaction Coordinator. He joins our Homeownership Team to support our new homebuyers as well as our sellers in their real estate transactions. Get to know Bruno on our blog today!

❤️ Thank You for Your Support! ❤️

We would like to update you on our Giving Tuesday campaign. Together with our community we were able to raise $12,666! That means we will be able to continue to provide support for emergency home repairs through the Dowling Home Maintenance Fund. It is not too late to continue to support emergency home repairs, you can make a contribution through the end of the year!

As we look to 2025, we are excited about the opportunities for growth and possibilities to create even more positive change in our community with your continued support. We will begin construction on Tanyard Branch Trace, which will provide 48 workforce/affordable housing rental units, and we plan on expanding our CHT home inventory with the addition of 19 townhomes! You help put the COMMUNITY in Community Home Trust, and we would appreciate your continued support as we expand our community and inventory. No amount is too small, and we are deeply grateful for your partnership.

This year, we piloted a new ambassador program, called the Home Team, with a group of CHT residents. This past week, they celebrated the end of their cohort with a holiday celebration including homemade treats, games, and a white elephant gift exchange! In the new year, we’ll share more about the pilot program and plans for future cohorts of ambassadors. We’re so grateful for this team that’s helped us launch this new program!

Save the Date!

In March, we told you about the five homes in Durham that we purchased and were working on rehabbing. We’re excited to report that the work is complete! We’re planning to release a short impact film about the project, and the Carolina Theatre of Durham will be hosting our film premiere. Make plans to join us on the evening of February 18 — details to come in the new year!

Office Closed

Our office will be closed for the holidays Monday, December 23 through Friday, January 3. We will resume regular hours on Monday, January 6.
