The Homeowner/Tenant Relations Coordinator at Community Home Trust plays a vital role in fostering positive relationships between the organization, homeowners, and tenants. The Coordinator serves as the main point of contact for CHT homeowners and tenants, addressing inquiries and concerns, organizing events, and facilitating strong connections within the community.

New on the Blog: Legion Road Community Day

Every year, the homeowners in the Legion Road community get together for a community day, during which they work together on cleaning up and beautifying their neighborhood. This year’s reflection is written by long-time CHT homeowner and 2021 Deanna Carson Memorial Good Neighbor Award recipient, Deneane Stanley.

CHT Homeowners: Join Our Board of Directors

If you…

  • are a current CHT homeowner
  • are looking for a unique volunteer leadership opportunity
  • want to ensure other people in your community have access to a permanently affordable home
  • want to help raise funds for the organization
  • enjoy planning and strategic thinking
  • and are curious to learn more about housing affordability in our community

…then we’d love to have you apply to join our Board! We will add one CHT homeowner to our Board at this year’s Annual Meeting and Block Party as a current homeowner Board member’s term is coming to an end. Priority deadline for applications is July 15.

CHT Orientation: Everyone is welcome to attend this in-depth introduction to our program in Chapel Hill and Carrboro. In-person and Zoom options available. Next session: July 22, 6pm at our office. Register here.

Homebuyer Education: This 8-hour class is offered in-person in our office (105 Conner Drive, Suite 1000, Chapel Hill) and gives potential buyers the tools to navigate the home-buying process. Completion of this class is a requirement of the program and most lenders, and attendance for the whole session is required to receive the certificate. This class is free and open to the public, but registration is required. Next session: September 7, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Supplemental live sessions are also available for those who have attended an online program. Neighborhood Tour: Learn more about the communities where CHT residents live and see some examples of our homes for yourself. The neighborhood tour lasts approximately two hours and starts with coffee and conversation at our office. Space is limited and registration is required. Next tour: August 29, 2:30 p.m. Request a seat on the bus here.
