Early voting in North Carolina for the 2024 general election started last week. Election Day is Tuesday, November 5. If you haven’t already, today is a great day to make your voting plan!
There are many important decisions facing voters this year in addition to your vote for president. Local elected officials and ballot measures impact the issues you care about. Make sure to vote all the way down your ballot! Chapel Hill residents will have the opportunity to vote YES on a $15 million bond for affordable housing. Bond funds help organizations like Community Home Trust make significant investments in our community by building and preserving affordable housing.
Take these easy steps to get informed and prepare to vote:
- Review your sample ballot.
- If you live in Chapel Hill, learn more about the affordable housing bond from the Orange County Affordable Housing Coalition (of which CHT is a member) and the Town of Chapel Hill.
- Familiarize yourself with North Carolina’s Voter ID Law.
- Commit to your voting plan!
- Vote Early: Early voting ends the Saturday before election day. This is a convenient option because there are fewer lines, extra voting locations, and you can register to vote or update your registration onsite.
