Sales
As a nonprofit, licensed real estate firm, we have two brokers on staff that provide expertise in buying and selling the affordable homes in our inventory. We provide marketing services as well as step-by-step support to get you from the contract signing to the closing table. We do not charge a commission for this service.
Property Management
We have staff dedicated to helping our homeowners choose a vendor to deal with repairs needed on their homes or answer questions they may have. Community Home Trust manages four HOA’s, for a total of 71 properties. We work closely with the HOA boards to deal with homeowner concerns, governance matters, and routine and capital maintenance repairs.

Master Leasing
Community Home Trust leases rental units from private landlords, then subleases those units at reduced rates to tenants who might otherwise have a difficult time finding an affordable rental home. Master leasing programs like these can serve many purposes; in our case, we lease units to people transitioning out of homelessness with the support of the Town of Chapel Hill and to teachers working in the public school system in partnership with Chatham County Schools. For more information, contact Deputy Director Caroline Veloso Karras.
Advocacy
Community Home Trust uses our affordable housing experience and expertise to address affordable housing issues on the local, state, and national level. As a leader in the industry, we often provide consulting services to other nonprofits and municipalities looking to expand affordable housing in their community.
