Dear Subscriber,
Mark your calendar and don’t miss it: our Annual Meeting and Block Party is coming up before you know it: Sunday, September 24, 3-7 p.m!
- WHO: EVERYONE in the community is invited! CHT homeowners and tenants, neighbors, friends, partner organizations, elected officials, people who want to learn more…this event is for you!
- WHAT: CHT’s Annual Meeting and Block Party – including food, live music, activities, awards, games, and more – all FREE of charge and open to everyone.
- WHERE: Southern Community Park, 1000 Sumac Rd., Chapel Hill
- WHEN: Sunday, September 24, 3-7 p.m.
- WHY: To learn more about CHT and housing affordability in our community, elect new board members, celebrate award winners, learn about other local resources – and enjoy food, games, activities, and entertainment with your neighbors and friends!
- HOW: It’s FREE to attend and join the fun! More details and the RSVP link are available now on our website. Please RSVP so we can plan for the right amount of food!
Here are the plans we’ve made so far:
- We loved our party at Southern Community Park last year, so we’ll be back there again! We’ll be celebrating outside rain or shine, with access to a covered pavilion.
- CHT homeowner Kevin Baker Music was a HUGE highlight of last year’s event — and he’s back again for another year!
- When you RSVP, let us know about any dietary restrictions so we can make sure we have the right food for EVERYONE to enjoy!
- We’re also planning games and family friendly activities, along with information about resources available to members of the community.
We’re still doing lots of planning and dreaming about the event, so if you have questions or suggestions, feel free to reply to this email and let me know. And I promise we’ll keep you posted in future emails and on social media!
Daniele Berman, Marketing and Communications Manager
P.S. It’s not too late to sponsor the event! This is a great way to show a huge crowd of people what a great community member your business is — and this year, we have sponsorship levels that are accessible to any business, including a “name your own price” option! Check it out!
Development Updates
KB Home’s Bridgepoint development, where CHT will have 5 brand new townhomes, is planning their grand opening celebration! Join the celebration on July 22 from 12-3 p.m. to tour model homes. We’ll be there to share more information about CHT’s homes in the neighborhood!
If you are interested in purchasing a home in Bridgepoint from CHT, it’s important to apply to our program as soon as possible. We do not have a separate application process for Bridgepoint, and CHT sales will not be handled through KB Home. As with all our other home sales, our Bridgepoint homes will be sold to applicants already on our CHT applicant list.
In the Community
Join us at the Town of Chapel Hill Police Department’s National Night Out celebration at the Hargraves Community Center on Tuesday, August 1, 6-8 p.m. for food, fun, music, and more!
Meet your neighbors, police officers, firefighters, and more at this FREE annual neighborhood block party!
CHT Residents
As we continue planning for our Annual Meeting and Block Party this fall, we would like to know what services our homeowners and tenants provide so we can consider including them in the celebration. Do you own or work for a business that provides food, music, or entertainment? Please let us know about your work! We won’t be able to include everyone, of course, but we want to make sure your business is among the options we explore.
