Development Updates

KB Home celebrated the grand opening of Bridgepoint this past weekend — and two of our CHT homes are well on their way to being ready for their new owners!

If you are interested in purchasing a home in Bridgepoint from CHT, it’s important to apply to our program as soon as possible. We do not have a separate application process for Bridgepoint, and CHT sales are not handled through KB Home. As with all our other home sales, our Bridgepoint homes will be sold to applicants already on our CHT applicant list.

Nominate a Neighbor!

CHT homeowners and tenants: at our Annual Meeting and Block Party in September, we’ll present our annual Deanna Carson Memorial Good Neighbor Award to a CHT homeowner or tenant who exemplifies the definition of a “good neighbor.”  The recipient demonstrates similar characteristics to our former colleague, Deanna Carson, who passed away in 2020:  selflessness, caring, generosity, and a commitment to their neighbors. They are very involved in their community, either as an active member of their HOA or TAC or through other community organizations, formal or informal.

Board Members Needed

This fall, in conjunction with our Annual Meeting and Block Party, we will elect new members of our Board of Directors, including two CHT homeowners or tenants and one community member, all Orange County residents.

Did you know that our Board application is always open? If you think you’d like to serve on our Board, either in the coming year or some other time in the future, click to learn more and complete the online application.

Sponsorship Opportunities Available Now

Our Annual Meeting and Block Party is scheduled for Sunday, September 24 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Southern Community Park, and we hope you’re planning to join us!

Sponsorship opportunities are available now at a wide range of levels, intended to be accessible to everyone. If you’d like to learn more about sponsorship, check out our website for details.

In the Community

It’s our Community Engagement and Outreach Coordinator Ivelisse’s favorite event of the year: National Night Out!

Join Ivelisse and LOTS of Chapel Hill neighbors for this annual block party. This year, it will be held on Tuesday, August 1, 6-8 p.m. at the Hargraves Center (216 N. Roberson St, Chapel Hill). Don’t miss it!

For Sale!

Our featured home this week is 228 Lexes Trail in the Ballentine neighborhood in Chapel Hill.

This 3 bedroom / 2 bathroom, end-unit townhome is located less than 10 minutes from I-40, schools, restaurants, and shopping. It features a 1st floor primary bedroom and bathroom, tons of natural light, laundry closet, storage and 11ft ceilings in the living room. The remaining two bedrooms and bathroom are upstairs, along with a linen closet and accessible attic space. Spend some time on the outdoor patio or enjoy nature on the nearby walking trails.
