Community Home Trust Newsletter

Dear Subscriber,

It’s Election Day, and if you’re a registered voter in Orange County who hasn’t voted yet, I want to encourage you to make time to vote today.

Last week, INDY Week published the results of a poll showing that the race for mayor in Chapel Hill is very tight. In fact, it’s not uncommon for many local elections to be decided by a handful of votes – which is why your vote is so important, this election cycle and every year.

CHT is a nonpartisan organization, and we do not endorse candidates. But we do want to make sure you have all the information you need to vote for candidates who represent your vision for our community. So last week, we published a roundup of election information on our blog that we hope will provide you all the information you need.

We are also a member of the Orange County Affordable Housing Coalition (OCAHC), which has published some excellent resources, including responses to a candidate questionnaire about housing (also available in Spanish), a printable voter guide, and an op-ed in Chapelboro’s Viewpoints.

And if you have already voted but know of other folks who haven’t, please share these resources and encourage your friends and neighbors to make their voices heard!

Thanks, as always, for your partnership,
